Our Mission
to equip people to develop a passionate heartbeat for Jesus Christ in order to impact the local and global community
Values
Passionate Worship
Worship is a daily lifestyle of responding to God’s revelation of Himself within the heart, mind, and soul in ways that reveal the essence of the character of Christ. Our worship reflects the life transforming gospel of Jesus Christ. Eph. 5:18-20; John 4:24

Undeniable Truth
Acknowledging a biblical worldview to measure our personal lives. We submit ourselves to the authority of the principles taught within the Holy Bible. We are committed to the teaching and application of the Bible by making disciples through the power of the Holy Spirit in order to see Christ formed in the lives of the body. 2 Timothy 3:16; Romans 15:4

Living Authentically
Modeling the commitment to authentic biblical community in our relationships. Based upon biblical truth and mutual accountability, we believe life transformation occurs within the context of unity and the diversity of these authentic relationships. Eph. 4:16; Acts 2:42-47

Strategic Service
The strategic utilization of our gifts, passions, and experiences to intentionally serve the local and global community. We desire to be an irresistible influence within our community through socially responsible conduct. We will invest in and serve our community passionately, personally, practically, and generously. Eph. 4:1113; I Peter 4:10-11

Engaged Evangelism
Seeking to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ through missions and relational evangelism. The daily dedication of each disciple of Christ to grow spiritually will strive towards personal holiness and a desire to pass along their faith. The hope is that the fellowship, love of the saints, and Christ modeled living will attract unbelievers to the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Cor. 4:5

Beliefs
God
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in ai" loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.

The Bible
We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises.

The Human Condition
We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed.

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus—Israel's promised Messiah—was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

The Work of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, allsufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation.

The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christlike living and service.

The Church
We believe that the true church comprises all who have been justified by God's grace through faith alone in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The true church is manifest in local churches, whose membership should be composed only of believers. The Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which visibly and tangibly express the gospel. Though they are not the means of salvation, when celebrated by the church in genuine faith, these ordinances confirm and nourish the believer.

Christian Living
We believe that God's justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and fervent prayer in Christ’s name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed.

Christ’s Return
We believe in the personal, bodily and premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.

Response and Eternal Destiny
We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace. Amen.
History

The vision for Heart Change Fellowship (HCF) was given to Jua Robinson by God in 2003 when he sensed the Lord leading he and his wife, Regina, to pray and dream about church planting. Several years prior Jua helped launch River of Life Church in Cincinnati, OH. After spending several months in prayer, vision trips to engage local Boston leaders, and seeking the counsel of those who knew the Robinsons well they were led to move to New England.

The vision God laid upon Jua’s heart was a Kingdom centered community of people who focused upon living out the gospel of Jesus Christ within a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, multi-socioeconomic church context who would be engaged in helping Boston to be the ‘City on a Hill.’

The Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) contacted Jua about developing a partnership to launch HCF. Upon completing seminary in Virginia, Jua was accepted into a residency program for church planters through Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, AR. With the completion of this process, the elders of FBC commissioned and ordained Jua Robinson to plant Heart Change Fellowship. In the summer of 2006, the Robinsons and their friends, Marion and Tamika Mason transitioned to Boston to continue laying the foundation of what would eventually become a church.

Heart Change Fellowship launched as a church September 16, 2007 in Roxbury. In January of 2012, HCF moved to it's present location in Jamaica Plain. God has blessed HCF to see the initial vision become a reality. With a commitment to solid biblical teaching, discipleship, community engagement, and leadership development people, from over 20 countries have now called HCF their home church.

By God’s grace through the power of the Holy Spirit, collective efforts of hundreds of people in prayer, a Christ focused congregation, and church support in New England and across the United States HCF has seen hundreds of lives transformed.
Our Stories
Karla Jenkins

My name is Karla Jenkins! I am an educator, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a mentor and most importantly, a worshipper and servant of God. These are important descriptors because all of these combined are the true essence of who I am. When I moved to Boston in the summer of 2014, I searched for a church that was a place of authenticity, a place where the worship was not just seen but felt, a place where God's word was preached as undeniable truth. It took me 8 months but as soon as I walked in to Heart Change, I recognized this was the place that God had a seat for me. I discovered a place where I could grow in Him, a place of community, and a place of love.  That's what I love about my church. Every Sunday, I can unequivocally depend on a space for corporate prayer and worship, a place where God's word is preached, and we are given the practical tools to go and live Christ out loud. Heart Change is a place where you can be the change the world and do it in fellowship with a multicultural community of believers. At Heart Change, I am being challenged consistently to tap in the PULSE! I'd invite anyone who desires to meet God in the most unassumingly beautiful way to worship with us and see how God is using a small yet mighty army to make an impact on the world!
Andrew & Noelle Larson

When Andrew and Noelle first attended Heart Change in college, they had no idea what an important role the church and community would play in their faith journeys, closest friendships, and blossoming relationship. Friends from the start due to their shared love for the Lord of the Rings, their friendship grew as they spent time serving together and having lunch after church with their friends from school. When Andrew and Noelle were ready to tie the knot, Pastor Jua, his wife Regina, and their oldest daughter Jordyn flew to Wisconsin to perform the wedding ceremony. After living in Wisconsin for two years, Andrew and Noelle came back to Boston and were excited to rejoin the vibrant community at Heart Change. As they raise their baby daughter, Andrew and Noelle are so happy for her to grow up and learn about Jesus in this loving, Gospel-centered, multi-ethnic faith community.
Affilations
