Each Sunday our church gathers to remember what Jesus has done and how that shapes who we are as a community, to receive the Scripture which we increasingly strive to live in submission to, and to celebrate what is happening across our church community.
Beyond these Sunday gatherings we are committed to creating spaces for our church family to grow together in community and share life. From potlucks to prayer gatherings, beach services to game nights, barbeques to service projects in the community, there are many opportunities to reconnect and welcome new friends.
Teaching children to be disciple makers and investing in the next generation is at the forefront of the HCF Kids mission. Team members include adults and parents who share a commitment to seeing children develop christian. Some of the rhythms of HCF Kids include youth being encouraged to lead worship in song and dance, memorizing scripture, older students teaching younger children, and the practical application of biblical principles to everyday life.
Since 2013, we’ve partnered with River of Life Church, also in Jamaica Plain to serve English High School. English High School is the oldest public school in America. As a church we strongly believe in engaging local schools. Our volunteers commit a least one year to intentionally mentoring one student from the school. In addition to the mentoring program throughout the school year we additionally serve through hosting staff appreciations and supporting various school projects including classroom painting and school cleanup.
