Each Sunday our church gathers to remember what Jesus has done and how that shapes who we are as a community, to receive the Scripture which we increasingly strive to live in submission to, and to celebrate what is happening across our church community.

Beyond these Sunday gatherings we are committed to creating spaces for our church family to grow together in community and share life. From potlucks to prayer gatherings, beach services to game nights, barbeques to service projects in the community, there are  many opportunities to reconnect and welcome new friends.

Discover Heart Change
Discover Heart Change is a 2-week space to learn more about being in community at Heart Change Fellowship. During the course, participants are oriented to the mission, vision, values, and beliefs which guide our church. The course explores the unique stories and gifts of each participant and sets the expectation for those who’d like to formally join the HCF family. It’s also a great space to get to know our leaders and ask questions. The course is a open to everyone, but is a prerequisite to membership at Heart Change.

DNA stands for Discipleship, Nurture, and Accountability. At Heart Change, DNA is a primary vehicle for how we follow Jesus in community. Each DNA group consists of 3-5 people who meet together to grow in their capacity to hear from and obey God through intentional, disciplined cultivation of their spiritual lives. In DNA friends support each other as they strive to allow the Gospel to shape their relationships with God (UP), themselves (IN), and others (OUT). DNA relationships support us as we seek to be and act as Jesus.
Ministry Teams

From talented college students to first time worship leaders, the HCF worship ministry is comprised of musicians and artists who value worship as a gift from and for God. Our worship team seeks to express authentic worship throughout their lives and to lead our church in worship through music and the arts during our public gatherings.

HCF Kids

Teaching children to be disciple makers and investing in the next generation is at the forefront of the HCF Kids mission. Team members include adults and parents who share a commitment to seeing children develop christian. Some of the rhythms of HCF Kids include youth being encouraged to lead worship in song and dance, memorizing scripture, older students teaching younger children, and the practical application of biblical principles to everyday life.

Our audio/visual team works behind the scenes to support music and media at our gatherings. These volunteers lend their skills to audio engineering, graphic design, and through various presentation technologies. The focus of this team is to enhance our worship experience during our public gatherings.

Our hospitality team attempts to create a welcoming space for each person. Whether you’ve been part of our church family for years or are visiting for the first time, our hospitality team helps to ensure that Heart Change feels like being with family. Hospitality volunteers serve as hosts for our public gatherings while greeting everyone who enters the church with a smile.
Community Partnerships

English High School

Since 2013, we’ve partnered with River of Life Church, also in Jamaica Plain to serve English High School. English High School is the oldest public school in America. As a church we strongly believe in engaging local schools. Our volunteers commit a least one year to intentionally mentoring one student from the school. In addition to the mentoring program throughout the school year we additionally serve through hosting staff appreciations and supporting various school projects including classroom painting and school cleanup.
